Equipment

The practical appliance of Thermal Imaging is reliant on the equipment employed.  Unlike many firms in this field, we own all our own equipment.  This enables us to respond to varying circumstances without having to rely on sub-contractors to supply the correct tools for the job.

Over the years we have developed equipment unique to Horton Levi that allows fast economical filming of large sites.  This equipment includes a mobile pneumatic mast and a vehicular scanning unit that enables drive-by filming unobstructed by parked vehicles and hedgerows.  The mast extends to 3 storeys and allows large estates and complexes to be filmed quickly, accurately and economically.

Our imagers are designed and constructed to demanding military specifications.  Extremely high thermal and spacial resolution provides the Client with maximum information. 

Data is collected on video which is recorded on professional VCR equipment.  Real-time output is available to the Client at the time of the survey.   Post processing of the data is achieved via a sophisticated computer suite that provides hard copy coloured images.

Reports are provided with all surveys along with original video data and client selected scenes on hard copy.  For further PC analysis, selected data is provided on CD-ROM.
